Dallas resident Linda Esparza, who entered a Suzuki contest while attending the State Fair of Texas Auto Show in October of 2007, will win a Suzuki XL7, part of Suzuki's 2007-2008 national Auto Show promotion.
Esparza, who lives with her husband and two sons near Joe Pool Lake and already owns an SUV, will take delivery of the XL7 from Chacon Suzuki in southwest Dallas, one of Suzuki's newest Suzuki Square dealerships.
Having entered the drawing last fall, Esparza initially overlooked the announcement of her win. "I had received notification by mail -- and thought it was nothing. I threw it away." It took a follow-up phone call before the news -- and enormity -- of the win began to take hold.

Can't believe people actually win those things. I figured they were just elaborate ways to collect a bunch of people's information to sell.

Pavel, you must have missed this story from earlier in 2008. It does happen, but sometimes 'winning' means you're boned. =p
