Studio Movie Grill plans special needs screenings of WALL-E
Beginning with this event, family members of kids with special needs will also get into the theater for free.
The Studio Movie Grill folks, in association with Variety - the Children's Charity and Baylor - Our Children's House, have for some time now been offering free movie screenings (on select dates and times) to children with special needs.
Beginning with this Saturday's (June 28) event, that free offer will also apply to family members accompanying said kids.
On June 28 at the Dallas, Plano, Arlington and Lewisville SMGs, the 11 a.m. show of Pixar's newest animation extravaganza - WALL-E - will screen for free to these kids and their family members.
Seating is, of course, limited, so arrive early to make sure you don't find yourself gazing up at the cute anthropomorphic robot from the front row.

I really want to see this. Wonder if I can find a neighborhood kid who'll act disabled.

Damn, you guys are cold. I like to make fun of others to make myself feel better about myself as much as the next guy but special needs kids are just off limits.
As an aside, is it just me or is this whole Wall-E thing a straight Johnny #5 ripoff?

Saw it last night -- only a rip-off if you're a cold, cynical person like you two. WALL-E brings more emotion and depth to a robot than a million Johnny #5s could do.

Pavel & 12oz: Let's be a little more respectful of the disabled, eh? These comments were flagged by a user, who judging by their username is the parent of an autistic child. I'm not taking them down, but we all should be mindful of whom our humor can hurt.

Sorry; I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, and I feel nothing but awe and respect of parents who are put in a difficult situation, but rise to the challenge none-the-less.

Thanks y'all. Know nobody meant anything by it, but sometimes we all (myself included) forget who might be stopping by...
