Coppell recycling contractor cuts back on types of material accepted
AbitibiBowater, which isn't all that far removed from Rumpelstiltskin when you get right down to it, is actually not a character from a Brothers Grimm fairy tale but rather the (ill-conceived?) corporate moniker of a recycling contractor which operates in Coppell.
Not only is their website under construction (as of this posting), but their services are also undergoing a facelift - in that they plan on offering fewer of them.
Specifically, according to a City of Coppell press release, cardboard (including paperboard) and phone books will no longer be accepted in their yellow and green bins.
Apparently, the Bibiti-Bobiti-Boowater bins (did I get that right?) are placed at schools, churches and public buildings in the area at no cost to the school, church or public. A full bin can weight in at over a ton, and AbitibiBowater pays rebates to the facilities based on the tonnage collected. And going forward they'd prefer not to have phone books or cardboard make up a portion of that tonnage.
Those Coppellians wishing to continue recycling their cardboard, paperboard (e.g., cereal boxes) and phone books can simply place them in their official curbside recycling bins.
Problem solved.

This article is a steaming load o'crap. Your paper admitted that the recycling company puts their bins out AT NO CHARGE to the customers and actually pays then for the paper they collect. And you want to complain because the company might not want certain types of paper in their bins. Maybe those types of paper can't be used in their type of recycling process - I don't know. What I do know is that it's pretty lame to write an article making fun of the company name and giving them crap about the FREE service they provide that pays money back to the schools and churches. Doofus.

Sorry we offended you. Scary that you don't know more about your recycling process or, apparently, that you work for a for-profit business.
For what it's worth, when I used to work in deadwood publishing, I loved your paper. Also a big fan of your mascot:

Was about to say...nothing's free in this world. Simply b/c you're not charging on the front end means little.

Sorry for the blip above -- tried to edit my comment and accidentally removed it. Was trying to say that the humorous name apparently is the result of a merger:
