UPDATED: DFW cops and firemen to play ball in first annual “Public Safety Baseball Tournament”

The DFW Public Safety Baseball Tournament, a special tournament for police and fire departments throughout the DFW area, will take place July 31-Aug. 3 at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie.
All proceeds will go to the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas, otherwise known as the organization where cops beat the crap out of each other to raise money to help kids lead peaceful, non-violent lives.

Tickets will be $5.00 each to attend game, while tournament passes are available for $15.00 for all games.
A "public safety" baseball team will be made up of either a police or fire department or a combination of both. If you're neither, yet aching to get in, a limit of three civilian players will be allowed per team.

UPDATE:. The first game of the tournament will take place between the Grand Prairie Police Department and the Richardson Fire Department. Police and fire departments involved in the tournament are:
Grand Prairie Police Department, Grand Prairie Fire Department, Richardson Fire Department, Arlington Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, North Richland Hills Fire Department, Watauga Police Department and Garland Police Department.
The Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas benefits youth and provides monetary support to families of fallen fire and police officers.
