Last week our Flickr community spent a lot of time at shows. We have Death Cab, the Chicago/Doobie Brothers combo, and the Women's Showcase benefit for Equality Now. In addition to lots of good show pics, we've got a dust storm and a view from The W.

06/15/08: We saw Chicago with The Doobie Brothers tonight. What an awesome show!! The finale featured both bands together for about 6 songs. Superpages.com Center Dallas, Texas

Today
West Fest Polka Festival Westfest kicks off the the weekend on Friday evening with the Miss Westfest Contest. Gates to the fairground (in West, Texas, south on I-35 just beyond Hillsboro) open at 5:30 p.m., and you can hang out touring the food booths until closing time at 12:30 a.m. If there was ever a place to do your "wurst," this is it, folks! And don't forget kolaches for dessert. More info
