Dallas ISD, Reliant Energy, and the Texas Rangers to host baseball clinic Saturday
DALLAS The Dallas Independent School District, Reliant Energy, and the Texas Rangers will host an instructional baseball clinic at 1802 Moser Avenue, Dallas, on Saturday, June 28, at 10 a.m.
The partnership will kick off at a new baseball field, constructed with funds raised by Texas Rangers Triple Play MVP and Greenhill student Paul Stanley, in conjunction with local contractor Marc Andres. Dallas ISD's Board of Trustees will vote on the naming of the field during Thursdays board meeting. The proposed name is the Dave Andres at John F. Kennedy Learning Center.
The field will be used for Dallas ISDs baseball program supported by the Texas Rangers. The baseball program will provide the opportunity for children ages 9 through 12 who attend Dallas ISD schools to play baseball.
In addition to specialized instruction, the participating children will receive a t-shirt and a goody bag. Rangers third baseman, Ramon Vazquez, and Spanish Radio Announcers, Eleno Ornelas and Jose Guzman, will also participate in the clinic.
A second clinic will be hosted on September 6 at the same location. For more information about the clinics, please call (817) 436-5902.
