Dallas County may eliminate traffic unit to save $6M
DALLAS County Commissioners John Wiley Price and Mike Cantrell are among those urging all judges county-wide to use a central electronic processing center for traffic tickets or risk losing their traffic unit altogether. One judge who has pulled out of the collections center told the DMN that if county constable traffic units are eliminated, it would result in far greater revenue loss for the county.
