Josh Venable, the previously fired host of the Adventure Club on 102.1 The Edge, has since been rehired. Starting this Sunday, the radio show will return to the air from 8-11 p.m. In an email sent earlier today, Venable promises that the show is, "Still three hours, still Josh, still KDGE, [and] still all the music you don't normally hear on the radio."

For more information on Venable's return, check out the grabass, instant messenger-style Q&A with Frontburner buddy Zac Crain.

How fitting that the Adventure Club is returning on Independence Day weekend. Josh's show is an island of independent music and independent thinking in a musical landscape normally void of both.

I know what my fireworks will be celebrating this 4th!!

Looks like KDGE realized that move was an epic fail.

AC had been playing via the 'net for a lil while now, from 9-12. At last, we have the return to Dallas airwaves!

Josh is doing two versions of the show: One for the D/FW market and one for LA. LA show has alot more CA-based bands while our local show is going to showcase more Texas-based talent. Its all done via voicetracking.

Id rather listen next big thing on 101x, its less pretentious than listening to Josh and his self-righteous voice.
