Plano school board members greenlight $490 million bond issue
Members of the Plano school board indicated their unanimous approval Tuesday to a measure that will put a $490 million bond issue before the voting public in the May 10th election.
The funds thus acquired (in the event that local voters approve the borrowing) will be used primarily to renovate and expand existing Plano school facilities and construct new ones, with four new schools planned on the east side of town.
