On March 16th, the Flying Pig Roadhouse in Lake Dallas will host the Brianna Benefit, a charity fundraising event for the family of Brianna McCullough. Several prominent local musicians will perform at the benefit, including John McLendon, Whiskey Dick, Gary Kyle, Straight Pepper Diet, Gypsy Voodoo and Dave Hineman. Also appearing will be motorcycle trick rider Patrick Stephens, who will do a twenty-minute riding demonstration.
Brianna mysteriously disappeared from her house in Garland on December 29th of last year, and was reported missing for nearly two months afterward. She was not heard from for a month and a half, before returning home, and her family had contacted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to report her missing.
Ms. McCullough appears to have left her mother's house that night to meet a friend, and the two ended up running away together. The two friends then seem to have encountered a male in his 30s, who allegedly abused them and supplied them with drugs.
When Brianna finally returned home, in the middle of February, it was apparent that she had suffered a traumatic experience, and was badly in need of professional medical and psychiatric attention. Brianna's mother, Angel McCullough, placed the girl in a 60 day drug rehab program; however, the program was not covered by insurance and costs $375 a day.
Proceeds of the Brianna Benefit will go towards the costs of rehab.

I feel sorry for those girls. The worst apart about this story is the CEO for the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children, Ernie Allen. He received approximately $448,014 in salaries and benefits.(The figure does not include his expense account or any perks he might receive.) Allen’s salary figures out to be about $5.15 per minute. Compare that to the minimum wage that same year in Virginia of $5.13 per hour. This is more than the President of the United States. Someone should really remove him from his post as he is PORK!!!
