Dallas Baptist women’s golf finishes 10th at St. Edward’s Invitational
The Lady Patriot Golf Team competed in the St. Edward's Invitational on March 3 - March 4. DBU, who is now ranked 34th in the country, finished the tournament in 10th place.
The Patriots continue to defeat Heartland Conference opponents at the tournaments. DBU defeated UIW and St. Mary's, while St. Edward's was the only team to finish ahead of them.
DBU as a team shot a 705 over two rounds, including a 362 on day one and a 343 in the final round of the tournament.
Leading the Lady Patriots was senior Jamie Shirley, who tied for 30th position with a 172, while Sophomore Heather Wilbur finished up 43rd with a 176. Freshman Kristen Tucker finished 49th with a 179, while Freshamn Aubrey Slawter shot a 187 and Sophomore Krystle Chick scored a 189.
DBU will be in action again on March 23-25, when they travel to Phoenix, Arizona, to take part in the Grand Canyon Invitational.
