UPDATED: Two DFW broadcasters depart stations mysteriously

This is apparently Fox4's preferred method of letting employees go.
This is apparently Fox4's preferred method of letting employees go.

The always reliable Uncle Barky is reporting that two local broadcasters were either let go or left under mysterious circumstances Wednesday.

In the case of the first, Rebecca Aguilar, the decision had been a long time coming since her suspension following a contentious interview. The surprise here is the manner in which her firing occurred -- not face to face with management but via a letter left anonymously under her doormat.

Meanwhile, NBC 5 meteorologist Rebecca Miller left abruptly Wednesday and her profile no longer appears on the NBC5 website. No reason was given for her departure, so it's not known if she left of her own accord or if she was fired.

UPDATE: Uncle Barky got an exclusive e-mail from Rebecca Miller Thursday night confirming that, yes, she was fired and also saying the goodbyes she never got to say on air.

Rebecca was a beacon in her field of work... the scummy boss that didn't give her a chance to say goodbye to her faithful viewers gets a "disapproving finger waving" paired with the infamous words of Gomer..."fer shame, fer shame, fer shame"

Miller was about one of the only meterologist in this market you could trust, eventhough she (allegedly) destroyed Kristine Kahanick demo tape she sent her years ago.

Aguilar was another story altogether. She deserved to get canned for the stunt she pulled last fall. Now if Fox 4 would start cleaning house all around ,they maybe able to actually have a decent reputation

Yeah, whatever you might think about Rebecca's interview tactics, firing somebody by a letter on the doorstep is pretty gutless.

Ms. Aguilar is being offered a significant life learning opportunity viz: Do NOT be mean while interviewing on camera nice little old men who shoot n' kill to defend life n' limb AND their stuff from thugs. This is TEXAS, bigawd!

Good riddance.

On the other hand, I will miss seeing Ms. Miller. She was a class act. I wish you well, Rebecca.

Yanno, I just thought of something...What if some corporate media yo-yo got a memo saying "Get rid of Rebecca!".... and... unsure which one...well...stranger things have happened. :(

I just link surfed "this person" and read, laughed, choked on a Dorito, and decided I might be in love. Alex Bentley, you are a hottie!

Have really great sex with a woman and two hours later she might remember your name. Make her laugh and she will NEVER forget you.~John Lennon~
