DeSoto ISD says Mathis is the man
After much searching, a six-person committee has now offered the DeSoto varsity football coach position to a playoff-caliber candidate out of Austin - Claude Mathis.
The DeSoto School Board could clear Mr. Mathis as the high school's next coach as early as March 10, according to information provided this week by the district.
