Dallas police officer who died in Clinton motorcade failed to negotiate curve in road
DALLAS The results of an investigation into the death of Dallas police officer Victor Lozada, who died on February 22 while escorting Sen. Hillary Clinton's motorcade to a rally, revealed that he did not handle a curve in the road properly.
From the investigator's report:
"[Lozada] was traveling south on Houston St. viaduct with emergency equipment on. The roadway at this point turns dramatically to the right. [He] was unable to negotiate the curve and collided with the east guardrail."
According to police, Lozada's failure to drive in a single lane of traffic was also a contributing factor.
