The Mavs had no problems putting the Bobkittens to bed Wednesday night
DALLAS The Dallas Mavericks got another easy win over an overmatched Eastern Conference opponent Wednesday night, defeating the Charlotte Bobcats 118-93 at the AAC. Just like their last big win over the Knicks, the Mavericks shot well over 50% from the field (.538), while again limiting their opponent to under 50% shooting. The Mavs also went 10-of-24 on three point shots, effectively crushing any potential Bobcat rallies before they started.
Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers with 26 points, shooting an efficient 8-of-14 alongside 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Josh Howard rebounded from a mini-slump last week, collecting 24 points, 7 boards and 6 assists.
Newcomer Jason Kidd had a decent game, scoring 6 points to go with 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Eric Dampier played with uncharacteristic physicality, puting up 11 points, 8 rebounds and five blocked shots.
The win improved the Mavs to 42-23, still just good enough for fourth place in the Southwest Division.
