Public meetings to be held on proposed T rail lines
If you’re a fan of passenger rail like we are, you should try to make it to one of next week's public meetings about the T’s proposed Southwest-to-Northeast commuter rail line.
The planned rail line will go from the Granbury Road/South Hulen area to DFW airport, with connections to other transit services in downtown Fort Worth. The meetings will include presentations of the possible environmental impacts, as well as proposed rail station concepts.
Show up and give the T some input on what’s good and bad about their plans.
The meetings:
Tuesday, March 18, 6:30 p.m.
Texas Department of Transportation Regional Training Center
2501 SW Loop 820 (McCart Avenue, south of I-20), Fort Worth 76133
Wednesday, March 19, 12 p.m./Noon
Intermodal Transportation Center
1001 Jones St., Fort Worth 76102
Wednesday, March 19, 6:30 p.m.

James Scott, says:
So when will Arlington get with the program and figure out they need some sort of mass transit - specifically when it comes to dealing with the Jerryworld monstrosity and all other entertainment venues they seem to hold a trademark for these days?
Besides the fact that it's not in Dallas, that's my single most annoying thing about the choice of Arlington for the stadium.

Maybe they're concerned their citizens wouldn't be able to <a href="http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2008/jan/02/arlington-least-literate-north-texas-city/">read a bus schedule</a>.
