Lancaster Parks and Rec holding Golden Egg Hunt

The Lancaster Parks and Recreation Department hosts its 3rd Annual Golden Egg Hunt March 15th from 2-5 p.m. The hunt begins at 3 p.m. with staggered starting times for age groups. The Golden Egg Hunt is held at the Lancaster Recreation Center Pool, 1700 Veterans Memorial Parkway.

The Golden Egg Hunt is a water event that will take place at the Indoor Swimming Pool. The first 50 people get a free picture with Peter Cotton Tail. Sign up begins at 2 p.m for pictures with Peter Cotton Tail (No early sign-ups will be accepted). The winners of the hunt receive special prizes. 3:00 The Hunt Begins

3:00 – 3:30 Ages (2-4)

3:45 – 4:15 Ages (5-7)

4:30 - 5:00 Ages (8-10)

“This event is considered a big splash by the public and has received the Regional Lone Star Programming Award by The Texas Parks and Recreation Society,” Community Relations Manager Ciciely Hickmon said. Over 800 people participated in the festivities last year, so you’ll want to get to the rec center early and enjoy this non-traditional easter egg hunt.
