Addison-based J. Dorian Chocolatier offering unique chocolate bunnies and eggs for Easter
ADDISON For chocolate lovers worldwide, Easter is synonymous with delicious chocolate bunnies. But despite their cute appearance, many store-bought rabbits fall flat offering only a hollow shell of what they appear to be. Local chocolate guru Dorian Isenberg is changing that with the creation of his Truffle Bunnies made of French and Belgium chocolate and decadent ganache filling available in three flavors: Classic Dark, Classic Milk and Classic White Chocolate.
Sold in groups of six per package, each Truffle Bunnies set contains two truffles of each flavor dressed as rabbits with chocolate ears, faces and even lucky chocolate rabbit's feet. Cost per set is $15.00.
For those who can't break the hollow habit, there's the Kinder Egg, a tasty chocolate egg-shaped shell filled with small, molded chocolates in the shape of bunnies and eggs. Kinder Eggs are available in the Classic Dark, Classic Milk Chocolate flavors and sell for $8.50 for the small and $12.50 for the large.
For a more traditional Easter edible, J. Dorian Chocolatier will also have its ever popular, four-ounce, molded solid bunnies available in Premium Dark, Milk, and White Belgium Chocolate flavors. Measuring approximately six inches long, each bunny comes wrapped in a transparent cello bag with a cheery, hand-tied, spring-colored bow. They sell for $6.50 each and make the perfect addition to any basket.
Chocophiles can purchase any of these chocolate treats at either the J. Dorian Chocolatier storefront at 5312 Belt Line Road in Addison (next to Houston's restaurant) or online at www.jdorian.com and each specialty item will be available through Saturday, March 22.
