Some old-timers nostalgic for big Easter celebration in Dallas that, unfortunately, stopped happening in 1974
All hosannas to the DMN for its sortof-history-ish recollection of some annual sunrise Easter service that used to happen way back in the middle of the 20th century (it "debuted in 1934") and prompted lots of people to get out of bed way earlier than they would otherwise. But holy Village People, the thing stopped happening in 1974. Surely there are other, more recent things to fixate on. Why not a story on the demise of disco music or a profile of the folks who really miss leg warmers.
