Farmers Branch Manske Library to receive $17,734 from Texas State Library and Archives Commission
FARMERS BRANCH The Texas State Library and Archives Commission, through the “Loan Star Libraries” program, which provides direct state aid to public libraries, will distribute $5.65 million this year. Farmers Branch Manske Library will receive $17,734 in direct aid during the 2008 budget year.
Most of the funding is based on whether the library participates in the “TexShare” statewide library card program, which is a resource-sharing program. The Farmers Branch Manske Library began participating in “TexShare” in 2002.
This year, grant funds will be used to upgrade public computers and laptops and update public computer software.
