The City of Addison will get a visit from DISD and RedMoon this week
The working session of the Addison City Council meeting will start with a presentation by Edwin Flores of the DISD Board regarding the bond program and other issues. During the work session, the City Council will also discuss:
- Property acquisitions at 4099 Brookhaven Club Drive and at 15810-15812 Addison Road. (You mean they don't already own everything off that whole road??)
- A Texas Parks and Wildlife Outdoor Recreation Grant Application for the proposed Vitruvian Park.
- A contract with Interprise Design concerning possible renovation of the Police and Courts building.
Some of the highlights from the regular meeting will include:
- A visit from a representative of RedMoon (Addison's city wide WiFi provider) on network upgrades.
- Consideration and approval to change dumpster providers for the 2008 special event season.
- Consideration and approval of award to the Overhead Door Company of Fort Worth to install new "fire apparatus bay doors" at Central Fire and Fire Station #2. (Sweet, new doors! I wonder what color they are going to paint them. It would be kind of cool if they did some sort of Dalmation spotted thing, but they will probably just be white or tan or something boring.)
- A public hearing notifying the public of proposed park improvements associated with the Vitruvian Development. The improvements will impact the floodplain/wetland area one mile north of I-635 and Marsh Lane.
