DALLAS Wednesday morning at 8am, Dallas mayor Tom Leppert, will launch an exciting new education initiative. This unique summer program will help students in targeted schools see new career potential for themselves along with the educational paths they need to take to get there.
Mayor Leppert will be joined by key corporate, educational, and non-profit partners who have already signed on with the program including Dallas ISD board of trustees president Jack Lowe. He will release details of the program, name those companies already on board, and invite more firms to join the initiative. He will also invite qualified students to apply to participate in the program.

Kudos, Leppert. Good to see direct connections between city and schools. Internships are good education and good on young people's resume's. JMP
