TxDOT will partially close SH 121 and Legacy in Plano on Thursday night
PLANO The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will partially close the Legacy Drive intersection at SH 121 Thursday, March 27, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday March 28, to allow contractor Austin Bridge & Road to place the bridge deck on the southbound mainlane of SH 121.
The thru lanes of Legacy Drive will be closed and traffic approaching the intersection on Legacy Drive will be rerouted onto SH 121. Traffic wishing to continue along SH 121 will not be affected; however, to ensure motorist’s safety, drivers will not be permitted to turn left under the SH 121 overpass onto Legacy Drive during construction.
“Depending on the weather, the intersection should be open by Friday morning’s rush hour,” said TxDOT Project Manager Jim May.
This 5.9 mile section of the SH 121 widening project is more than 85 percent complete and is expected to be finished by summer 2008.
