Octus Polk and Dennis McGee have been added to the Intense Football League’s team line-up and will play in Saturday’s game with the Fairbanks Grizzlies.

Polk, a Stephen F. Austin product, played for the Bears in 1995. Recently, he’s been a national semi-pro All-American with the Dallas Diesel.

McGee, a member of North Texas’ 2001 team that posted the school’s first post-season victory in over half a century with its victory over Cincinnati in the 2002 New Orleans Bowl, has spent the past two years with the Tulsa Talons of af2, playing for the af2 championship team of 2007. Prior to Tulsa, McGee spent a season with the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders and two NFL Europe teams.

He originally signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2003 and spent time on the practice squad until being released.

In addition, Plano’s Chris Johnson has been activated and will see his first action of the season Saturday.

Frisco (3-1) is trying to rebound from last week’s 54-50 loss to the CenTex Barracudas while Fairbanks (1-2) is coming off the first victory in franchise history with a 22-17 defensive struggle over the Odessa Roughnecks.
