Cedar Hill City Council holding special meeting, eating steak
CEDAR HILL Tonight the Cedar Hill City Council will hold a unique special meeting in the interest of adding another jewel to its retail and restaurant crown. At 6:30, the council will hold a special meeting at Plano’s Mignon Steakhouse.
Mignon owner Nick Natour is contemplating bring the steakhouse to Cedar Hill and the council wants the check the operation out. The menu has mixtures of contemporary French and American cuisine, ranging from steak tartare to escargots. Dinner at Mignon could set you back anywhere from $20-40.
This isn’t the first such research trip for the Cedar Hill council. The group journeyed to Carrollton eatery Babe’s Chicken Dinner House before inking a deal bringing it to Cedar Hill. The former Cedar Hill City Hall will house Babe’s after city offices move into the government center opening this summer. The council also visited an Alabama shopping center as Cedar Hill leaders talked out the vision for the recently opened Uptown Village.
Cedar Hill’s abundance of open land has seen it become the definitive shopping and eating destination in the Best Southwest. With Uptown Village doing great business and the upscale Mignon’s possibly moving south, that gap appears ready to widen.
