Cedar Hill and DeSoto have retained the services of Civitium, a management and technology consulting firm for municipal governments, to conduct an assessment into the potential value of a regional wireless broadband infrastructure, or Wi-Fi, and to identify a viable approach that will meet the cities’ goals.
Among Civitium’s clients are the cities of Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago. If you want to voice your opinion, there is a meeting May 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Room of the Cedar Hill Recreation Center.

If this is a bit far from your neighborhood, don't worry. There is a karaoke machine near you just waiting. More info
