Two Keller ISD baseball teams in Bi-District Playoffs Friday and Saturday
Keller: where the pitching arm is strong and the batting averages better than average.
Tonight two Keller ISD teams will be participating in Bi-District playoffs. Fossil Ridge will face off against Wichita Rider at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Fossil Ridge, then again on May 3 at 1 p.m. in Wichita. If a game three is necessary, they will play 45 minutes after game two ends. Fossil Ridge was a District 6-4A Co-Champion (15-2-0 in league play), but they enter the playoffs as 2nd seed after losing to Birdville High recently. Rider is 7-5-0 in District 5-4A and placed fourth behind Guyer (3rd), Denton (2nd), and Denton Ryan (1st).
The winner of this Bi-District series will take on Fort Worth Arlington Heights who received a bye in the first round.
Keller High will face off against Lewisville High tonight at 7 p.m. in Keller. Game two will take place on May 3 at 1 p.m. in Lewisville, with a game three to take place, if necessary, 30 minutes following the end of game two. Keller is currently 12-3-0 in league play, second only to Carroll H.S. in District 5-5A. Lewisville is 8-6-0 in District 6-5A and in third place behind Hebron (2nd) and Coppell (1st).
The victor of this Bi-District matchup will play the winner of Arlington High School and Dallas Jesuit College Prep for the Area Championship.
The UIL State Baseball Championship will take place June 4-7.
