DISD bond supporters reiterate the need for bond money

Supporters of the $1.35 million DISD bond are a little concerned about whether the bill will pass in next week's elections. In this last stretch of campaigning, supporters are reiterating that the children will lose out if the bill doesn't pass. The bill will help fund new schools and renovations, among other upgrades.

Akira Sato Jazz trumpeter Akira Sato, by way of Tokyo, Japan and Vancouver, Canada, is an SMU faculty member and director of The Meadow Jazz Orchestra at SMU. He is also an adjunct faculty member at UNT where he teaches jazz arranging. Sato is also heading into the studio soon with other area musicians and playing at the Scat Jazz Lounge tonight.
