Mavericks leaning toward Rick Carlisle as next head coach
The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly favoring Rick Carlisle as their next head coach after interviewing him twice. Carlisle was formerly the head coach of both the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers, and is currently an NBA analyst for ESPN.
However, no decision has been made yet. Other candidates, such as Jeff Van Gundy and current Phoenix Suns coach Mike D'Antoni, who is thought to be on the chopping block himself, may still be considered.
