Dallas’ Latino Cultural Center announces summer movie lineup
The Latino Cultural Center at 2600 Live Oak in Dallas has scheduled a series of free movie screenings for the summer, beginning with a Sat., May 10 showing of El Espiritu de la Colmena (The Spirit of the Beehive), which starts at 12:30 p.m. This one has English subtitles for to accommodate non-Spanish speakers and runs for 97 minutes.
Next up (on May 17 at 2 p.m.) is Como Agua Para Chocolate, based on the fantastic novel by Laura Esquivel. Once again, English subtitles are provided and the movie runs 97 minutes.
Rounding out the month of May on the 24th is a screening of El Callejón de los Milagros, or as it's known in its English release version: Midaq Alley. This one starts at 2 p.m., has English subtitles, is not rated and runs for (hold onto your popcorn) 144 minutes.
