Farmers Branch resident registration for CSI Camp now underway

FARMERS BRANCH Farmers Branch teens are invited to take an exciting and in-depth look at the fascinating world of crime scene investigations at CSI Camp this summer at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center. Resident registration is now underway for the week-long event to be held at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center July 14 – 18 for ages 14 through 18.
The camp includes bomb detection and detonations, mock crime scene searches, presentations by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office and Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, K-9 demonstration, forensic arts, casting and impressions, evidence response and collection, fingerprinting, SWAT demonstration, arson investigations, as well as tours of the Farmers Branch Justice Center, the new Farmers Branch Fire Station, and Orchid Cellmark DNA lab.
All participants receive a CSI t-shirt and study guide. Nonresidents may register May 26 (as space is available). Cost for the camp is $50 per recreation center member and $65 per non-member. Call the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center at 972-247-4607.
