New general manager appointed at Nove Italiano in Dallas’ Victory Park

N9NE Group Dallas (Ghostbar, N9NE Steakhouse, and Nove Italiano) recently hired Ron Rodgers as General Manager of Nove Italiano in Victory Park. Rodgers’ previous experience includes hospitality consulting and executive management for Sting, M Bar, El Centro Restaurant, and Sam’s Boat Restaurants in Houston; and Stone Horse Bistro and Little Katana, among others, in Dallas. He also worked for four years with Pappas Restaurants.

As General Manager of Nove Italiano, Rodgers’s responsibilities include demonstration of leadership; implementation of processes, procedures and policies; continued education for staff members and customers, in addition to daily operations.

Hope this helps. There has been a persistent rumor that the restaurant may close. VP retailers have a had a tough time because people attending games (Mavs/Stars) haven't been shopping/dining and they don't have a residential base to count on.

If people remember, when the AAC-VP was originally negotiated 4,000 - 6,000 units of housing were promised. So far, only 600. It makes it hard for retail/entertainment businesses.

VP needs more residents to survive.

i like nove, and feel bad for all those places that got hoodwinked by the developers. in addition to your point about the (lack of) residential units, i think there's also a limited appetite in dallas for Italian fine-dining

Agree with the Cunning Culinary Goddess Gubbins. I had beautiful food there. Exquisite. But like Il Molino, which was staggering it was such lush perfection, the thought to Dallasites about $100 a head plus wine(s) Italian meals does not compute. (Warning: We live in 'Where are the damn meat balls' land. )They'll pay $58 for a bone-in cow portion but not refined Italian. Me, I'm just a gigolo hanging with affluent friends. But if I had big bucks, the best meals are in these places and inevitably they vanish.
On the other hand, I thought Bicci was a pretender to the throne. All the pomp but no circumstance.

Meanwhile: There is something wonderful about Victory Plaza and something hollow. Residents are needed. Dogs. People there for something besides ‘events’.

The units there are overpriced for what you get and let's face the facts that the hype didn't foot the bill.

The shopping at VP sucks and I have no idea what demographic the developers thought they were aiming at.

Look at all the people attending the games and do you really think any of the stores appeal to this type crowd? The "high end" dining doesn't work for them either.

Too bad the developers didn't get the combo right. ~sigh~

FYI: The Victory Plaza store Haven is worth visiting. Nice people, great edgy-to-rustic contemporary home stuff. 2416 Victory Park Lane
