Thief in Hurst steals from church - wait it gets worse - church and Boy Scouts
It's that time again. The Hurst Police Department has released its weekly Crime Updates for both businesses and residences within the city. The following crimes were reported between Sunday May 27th and Saturday March 8:
Counterfail:
Three separate incidents of counterfeiting occurred recently: On Sunday at 8 pm, at a place of "family entertainment" (cop's notes) near 600 Loop 820 Hwy, an unidentified suspect presented two counterfeit $20s. The next Monday at 5:40 p.m. in an auto parts store near 200 W Pipeline Road, a suspect attempted to pass a counterfeit bill that had $100 on one side and $20 on the other. The cunning conman guy must have friends, as another suspect attempted to use a similar, really-fake bill at a restaurant at 100 W Pipeline Road on the same Monday evening. (First suspect: White Male, 20-26 yoa, 5’10” – 6’00, medium build, brown hair, some facial hair, top left front tooth chipped, black shirt with design down the middle, light blue jeans. / Second Suspect: White Male, 18-20 yoa, 5’08” – 5’10”, 160-180 lbs, white t-shirt).
Weapons of Mailbox Destruction:
On the same Sunday (can we not spread the crimes out over the week a bit more?) a firecracker was set off in a house near 1100 Simpson Drive, damaging the residents' important papers. Cruel.
Trip Canceled:
Finally, sometime before Monday at 8 p.m., a fairly awful person stole a trailer from a church located at 500 W Bedford Euless Road. A sin in its own right, the crime is made a bit more hellacious given that the trailer contained Boy Scout camping equipment.
Possible suspect identified.
