Heinz to shut down Dallas factory, unemploy 200
H.J. Heinz Co., the gigantic ketchup company, is planning to shut down its Portion Pac Inc. factory in Dallas in June.
Nearly 200 employees will be affected by the 'readjustment,' which will shift more work to Florida, Ohio and other lame states not shaped as neat as ours.
The plant, located at 11461 Hillguard Road, has been owned by Heinz since 1989.

bmslaw, says:
Shouldn't that be George Bush's pic on the Heinz bottle, rather than John Kerry's? After all, George Bush, who got himself re-elected President in 2004, is responsible for the economic mess that this country now faces, ketchup (catsup?) and all.

AnnMarie Wilson, says:
I agree "BMSLAW" - Kerry has nothing to do with the mess we have here...
And remember yesterday the 'state' reported an unbelievable SURPLUS of cash! Of course there's no money for schools, mental health programs, social services, infrastructure (except those designer bridges across the Trinity), medical insurance, our parks... well anything actually that would serve the people.
If you want to talk about taking care of the CEO's, the wealthy, those oil companies - then there is ALWAYS enough to go around.
Revolution anyone?
