Uptown Village at Cedar Hill will host an event in celebration of Mother’s Day, offering a variety of free activities for the entire family, on May 10 from 5:30 - 8 p.m. During the event, guests at Uptown Village can register to win a Mother’s Day Gift Package valued at $500.

The event will feature a concert with blues, soul and pop duo Gerry Moss and Michael Clay. Having written and produced songs for Disney, the duo’s musical style will appeal to both adults and children. In addition to the concert, activity stations will be set up in the Village Green including balloon animals and a caricature artist.

During the event, guests can complete a registration form on the Village Green to enter a drawing for the Mother’s Day Gift Package. The package, valued at $500, includes dinner for two at Matt’s Rancho Martinez and items from Aveda, Buckle, Coldwater Creek, Great American Cookie, Maui Wowi and Sunsights.

“As we celebrate Mother’s Day weekend, we invite all families out to the Village Green at Uptown Village for an evening of family fun, free entertainment and an exceptional drawing especially for mothers,” said Gail Johnson, marketing director for Uptown Village at Cedar Hill.

The winner of the drawing will be announced immediately following the concert on the Village Green. The person chosen must be present to win the gift package. Children may enter the drawing for their parent but must have an adult with them to accept the package if their name is drawn.
