Michael Morris, the transportation director for the North Central Texas Council of Governments, has some very clear supporters and opponents in the area. After working a deal to get the NTTA to pay top dollar for tollway project at 121 and 161, many city leaders in DFW are pleased.
However, very little money from the projects will go to Collin County, which may be the reason some officials from Collin County are lobbying to get Morris fired.
Morris' supporters passed three resolutions this week, in the Regional Transportation Council, the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition, and the Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition. In a nutshell the resolutions said, "Hey, we like Michael Morris. Collin County officials are buttheads." Or something like that.
