2008 Desoto ISD election results
DESOTO Three seats on the DeSoto ISD Board of Trustees were up for grabs Saturday. In the Place 3 race, Kenzie Moore garnered the most support to take over for the outgoing Janice Pettis Ingram. Moore received 40.69% of the vote, outdistancing challengers Margie Riley and Roosevelt Williams, although it is unclear at this point whether a runoff between Moore and runner-up Riley will be required. In the Place 4 race, incumbent Sharon R. Sternes defeated challenger Jerry Hall, 65.46% to 34.54%. And in the Place 5 race, incumbent Dee Trimble easily won re-election over challenger David Stilwell, 66.01% to 33.99%.
