2008 Arlington election results
Incumbent Mel LeBlanc takes away District 1 as the only candidate running. In the District 7 race, Michael Glaspie got 4,330 votes, Jimmy Bennett trailed behind with 4,142 votes and Robert Martin brought in 1,194 votes, putting Glaspie and Bennet in a runoff this June.
In District 6, Robert Shepard took 4,411 votes, with Vera McKissic close behind with 3,436 votes. Dennis W. Hackler got 608 votes, Brian Willet got 511 votes and Joseph Farah got 384 votes. This means McKissic and Shepard will also have a runoff election this June.
In District 2, Sheri Capehart won with 1,892 votes, while John Jenkins got 1,049 votes.
