2008 Coppell election results
While Tim Brancheau and Billy Faught cruised unopposed back into their council seats in Places 1 and 5, respectively, candidates in two other council races had to sweat it out until the election results came in.
In Place 3, incumbent Brianna Hinojosa-Flores duked it out with challenger Brent Wooten, while in place 7, Mike Ridgley went up against fellow newcomer Karen Hunt.
Meanwhile, over at the Coppell ISD, Scott Orr was declared an early victor (due to his unopposed status) in Board of Trustees Place 5, while Stephen Smith went up against Thom Hulme to decide who would occupy Place 4 on the Board.
When all the votes were counted, Hinojosa-Flores defeated Wooten in In Place 3 by a count of 680 votes to 464. And in Place 7, Hunt takes down Ridgley with 706 votes against his 376. In a close ISD Trustee Place 4 race, Hulme garners 675 votes to eke out a win against Smith (who pulled in 671).
