Since Hutchins is, like, above Wilmer on the map, shouldn't the place be known as Hutchins-Wilmer?

Artis Johnson and Rodney Henderson squared off to battle it out in the Hutchins mayoral race.

Competing for city council seats were Alex Love and Robert Gross.

And last but not least, mirroring neighbor twin city Wilmer (which always seems to get top billing, dash it all), voters had to decide what to do about the question of allowing beer, wine and hard liquor sales within city limits.

Here's the results: Johnson defeats Henderson for mayor, by a count of 224 votes (70%) against 94 (30%). For city council, Alex Love grabbed 164 votes (51%) while Robert Gross pulled in 156 (49%). On the proposition to allow alcoholic beverage sales, folks voted to wet their civic whistles by a count of 182 (59%) for and 127 (41%) against.

Todd Rundgren My college roommate and her boyfriend looooved Todd Rundgren. They used to say "Todd is God." A lot. Anyway, he's touring to promote his new album, a rocker called Arena. More info
