Lake Worth registered voters went to the polls on Sat., May 10 to decide who will fill city council seats in four districts.

In the Place 1 race, there was no race at all because incumbent Gene Brooks ran unopposed.

In Place 3, incumbent Ronny Parsley went up against Perry Lunsford.

In Place 5, three newcomers - Pat Hill, Howard Williams and Don Koehler - vied for the position previously held by Curtis McKay.

And in Place 7, Clint Narmore took a cue from his colleague Gene Brooks and ran unopposed. Meaning he didn't have to run very hard or very fast.

And the winners are: in Place 3, Lunsford defeats Parsley with 48 votes (55%) against 40 (45%). In Place 5, Pat Hill takes it with 59 votes (67%) as opposed to the 16 (18%) cast for Koehler and the 13 (15%) cast for Williams.
