2008 Rowlett election results
Rowlett elections covered three council positions, Places 1, 3, and 5. Voters rejected a controversial measure over whether police and firefighters should get civil service. The measure was heavily supported by the Rowlett Firefighters Association and the Rowlett Police Association.
Place 1:
- Doug Phillips, 1,270 votes
- Ceasar Hancock, 899 votes
Place 5:
- Chris Kilgore, 1,482 votes
- Al Alberts, 869 votes
Place 3 is undetermined, as the two candidates -- Patrick Jackson and Ronnie Howell -- came within five votes of each other, with Jackson earning 1,099 vote to Howell's 1,094.
