The Frisco Thunder held CenTex to a first-half field goal, but James Brown threw two touchdown passes in the second half as the Barracudas defeated the Thunder 41-25 in an Intense Football League game Saturday night.
The Barracudas (5-3) used two Thunder (5-4) turnovers to turn a 13-6 deficit in a 27-13 lead on Brown’s 8-yarder to Kendrick with 3:02 remaining in the third quarter. CenTex took its biggest lead at 34-16 on Derrick Wallace’s 41-yard fourth-quarter kickoff return.
Brown finished 13 of 27 for 111 yards as CenTex won its third straight and Frisco suffered its second straight loss.
Wes Cooper threw for 142 yards and two Frisco touchdowns – one each to Daron Lawrence (7 receptions, 75 yards) and Jason Deml (4-52). Dennis Hopovac made two field goals.
Ricky Madison’s 17-yard run gave Frisco a 7-3 halftime lead.
The Thunder travels to San Angelo next Saturday.
