Fido Fest will have tails wagging on May 17 in North Richland Hills

Tails will be wagging at Fido Fest, a special day for dogs and their people hosted by the City of North Richland Hills Park & Recreation Department and the Tipps Canine Hollow Park Pals.

Fido Fest

  • When: Saturday, May 17, 2008, 10 a.m. to noon
  • Where: Tipps Canine Hollow at Northfield Park, 7804 Davis Boulevard, North Richland Hills
  • Cost: Free
  • Age limit: All ages

Fido Fest will include plenty of free fun for people and dogs of all varieties. The event will feature pet vendors, entertainment, give-a-ways and contests. Contests will include: most talented, biggest dog, smallest dog, best costume, longest tail, biggest feet, biggest ears, look-a-like, best mutt and tiniest tail. Each contest will cost $1 to enter. Vendor booths will include: baked & frozen dog treats, dog boarding, mobile grooming, pet sitting, dog painting, dog training, dog houses and a veterinarian.

Refreshments will be available for people and there will be plenty of water for the dogs. Dogs will receive a doggy treat bag while supplies last. Owners can take away a souvenir photo with their dog at Fido Fest for $5.

All dogs attending must be current on their vaccinations and there is a limit of 2 dogs per person. Donations will be accepted for future Tipps Canine Hollow Dog Park improvements. Fido Fest is brought to you by the Tipps Canine Hollow Park Pals and the City of North Richland Hills. All ages are welcome at Fido Fest and spectators are free!
