Elephant at Dallas Zoo suffering from colic is euthanized
Keke, a 39-year-old elephant at the Dallas Zoo who was suffering from colic, was put to sleep on Monday afternoon. They tried to lift her to her feet with a crane but she couldn't stand on her own. Colic is something you usually hear happening to babies, not adult elephants; she had a chronic condition. Who besides Tim at D thinks zoos are a good idea, anyway.
