Back in August of 2007 the Grand Prairie Police Department made a bit of, uh, history by being the first D-FW area police department to create its own MySpace page.
Popularizing on their initial foray—which caused cities such as Allen, Lancaster, Duncanville, Irving, and Mesquite to jump on the band-wagon—the GPPD has now created a separate page for their Dispatch department.
"No one calls 9-1-1 because they are having a good day or just to say hi," begins a quote at the top of the page, while the unoffensive crooning of Californian Grammy-winning band Train beckons you to your new career.

I wonder if that music is annoying and obnoxious enough.
