After a crazy summer '07, in which the Ozzman gave away free tickets to his tour, he's decided to scale it back a bit and put all his bang in one buck. According to Ozzfest producer Sharon Osbourne, "Ozzy just finished an 11-month world tour so I think he deserves a summer off. We’re going to be a stadium destination festival for now--we have gone past doing the sheds every summer." Because the Superpages.com center is a "shed."
Luckily for us, the stadium destination is in Frisco at Pizza Hut Park on August 9. Ozzy will be bringing a pretty kick ass assortment of national metal and hardcore talent with him including Metallica, which is their first time on the lineup and first time back in Dallas since they headlined the Summer Sanitarium tour in 2000.
Main Stage
- Metallica
- Ozzy Osbourne
- Serj Tankian
- Jonathan Davis
- HellYeah
- Cavalera Conspiracy
- Shadows Fall
- Apocalyptica
- In This Moment
Second Stage
- Sevendust
- Devildriver
- Kingdom of Sorrow
- Soilent Green
- Witchcraft
- Goatwhore
Texas Stage

Tickets go on sale May 31. If you are looking for some entertainment, check out the slew of comments on the announcement decrying the new one-day, one-stadium format.

I guess it finally makes me old when I don't want to go see a band named Goatwhore.
