Fort Worth based metal band Turbid North have finished their debut album Under the Eight independently.
The album, which the band refers to as "Alaskan Mountain Metal", is currently available only at an Alaskan Music Store and their own live shows. The band is currently preparing to reacquire it's website in order to set up an official store as an additional outlet to sell their music.
The band formed in 2001 in Fairbanks, Alaska as part of the burgeoning metal scene formed around the cities of Fairbanks, North Pole, and Anchorage. They developed a cult following in these cities, playing various clubs and small concert halls. They have also opened for such acts as Adema, Veil of Maya, Darkest Hour, Skeletonwitch, Godsmack, as well as Dallas' own Drowning Pool.
Turbid North will be playing at the Skillman Street Pub in Dallas on Friday, May 16.
