Mindbender Academy to commence warping Frisco kids’ brains this summer

This summer, the Mindbender Academy opens its doors to warp children's brains. In the good way.

Created by the Leadership Frisco class of 2008, Mindbender Academy is a summer school (sssh, don't use that phrase) for upcoming 7th and 8th grade Frisco students.

From June 9-13, students will be challenged with creative math and science courses designed to energize their summer vacation. Instead of asking "how'd they do that?" Mindbender attendees will get hands-on experience in robotics, movie special effects, hovercrafts and more. The camp will be held at Fowler Middle School on 3801 McDermott Road in Plano.

"Leadership Frisco set out to create a fun, educational event for kids to get them excited about careers in math and science" said Kevin Lofgren of Farstar Marketing, the ad agency working with Mindbender to draw in the kiddos. "And they have gotten kids interested—by the hundreds."

The only thing kids love more than robots are invasions of robots.
