Sixteen people have been accused of running an elaborate marriage fraud ring in Fort Worth designed to help illegal immigrants from Mexico and Brazil get hitched in order to stay in the country.

Insincere weddings are easier to spot than you'd think.

Charging $12,000 a pop, the ring—operated by sweet-sounding 70-year-old Maria "Cuca" Camarillo—was a family affair which has been operating since the '70s and spans three generations of North Texans.

Mrs. Camarillo lead the ring from her house in the 2800 block of South Burchill Road in Fort Worth, where she served as the main contact for illegal immigrants in need of fraudulent fix-ups.

Camarillo and 10 others were arrested on Tuesday, May 14th, and are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Dallas before U.S. Magistrate Judge William Sanderson.

Some people don't believe in love at first sight, and others don't believe in love at first $12,000 bundle of tens and gives. Tsk tsk.

Um.. is that US dollars?

<sigh> Too late for me, but Pavel, I'll cosign a loan for ya!

The two team up for an all-American screening of Field of Dreams in the Dallas Arts District. Or there's always fireworks. More info
